Going Green – The Khaki Fashion Edit.
It would seem that green is to be my colour this season. It’s not so much that I’ve elected to wear so much green, Khaki Green in particular, but more the fact it’s the only colour I keep being gifted by my partner. I may have mentioned liking one item in a store whilst shopping in town, in a random gesture, he purchased it for me, a beautiful Khaki Green top from French Connection. I was truly bowled over and delighted, this up until now has been a pretty rare occurrence. However, I’m not sure if my reaction was SO grateful, or made him feel so chuffed that he got something right, that low and behold, I received another, and the following week a dress, and at Valentines, an outfit…yes…all in the exact same shade of Khaki Green, I just hope the stores run out before my Birthday!
I’m not knocking his efforts, his ability to shop for me has improved somewhat in our time together (they now fit and I would actually wear them), and I can only put his current obsession with Green down to the fact he is;
a: bored (has just completed a year long project)
b: Green is his favourite colour
c: He is every bit as OCD as I always suspected.
Never the less, before the shops run out…hurry please, let me share with you, some of the wonderful selection of greens out there at the moment. They’re ideal for casual weekend kicking back, that not trying too hard vibe, and holidays, well, if ever there was a colour for travel my intrepid explorers, this is it! It’s well suited to pretty much all skin tones, so not a bad colour option to put into your wardrobe for when you just want something different. Now please take a look at the selection and buy, buy, buy, before he does!
Again, the options are pretty limitless. Ladies, find your inner green goddess and play with this trend, mix it up with some key accessories and glow through spring. But a word of warning to any guys out there, if you buy one of these items for your girlfriend or wife, maybe leave it at one..just because she says she likes it, doesn’t mean she Likes it…enough to live in the colour 365 days, just saying. But go ahead, have fun, go green.
